If the linecard(s) you cabled…
Then…
Increase the number of ports in
the platform
You need to add the new linecard(s) to the
configuration of the Dialogic System Software.
Refer to the “Adding or Removing SCbus
Linecards in Dialogic System Software”
section
for instructions. However, if Dialogic System
Software is not installed in the platform, refer to
the “Installing Dialogic System Software”
section for instructions first.
You will need to install a new feature key
diskette to enable the additional ports.
Are of the same type(s) and
configured for the same linecard
identification number(s) as the
one(s) removed
You have finished the linecard installation.
Because you are using the same linecard(s) in
the same position(s), you do not need to modify
the Dialogic System Software.
Are of different type(s) or
configured for different linecard
identification number(s) than the
one(s) removed
You need to add the card in Dialogic System
Software. Refer to the “Adding or Removing
SCbus Linecards in Dialogic System Software”
section for details.
