Cable Analyzer Shortcut Data Keypad Menu
The following information details the shortcut data keypad buttons and respective menus. The shortcut
data keypad menus are used by pressing the numerical key corresponding to the desired command, when
not
in the process of entering a parameter.
File (#1)
Pressing File opens the File Manager. Refer to Chapter 8 – File Management
for detailed information on File Manager operation.
Touch (#2)
Pressing Touch opens the Touchscreen menu, enabling you to recalibrate
the instrument’s touchscreen.
Sweep (#3)
Pressing Sweep opens the Sweep menu in select measurement modes. Refer to subsections 4-1.7, 4-2.5, 4-
3.3, and 4-4.3 for Sweep menu and submenu details in various measurement modes.
ScrnShot (#4)
Pressing the 4 key takes a picture of the current measurement display and saves it to the device’s
internal storage.
Trace (#5)
Pressing the 5 key opens the Trace submenu in select measurement modes. Refer to subsection 4-1.8 for
Trace menu and submenu details.
Limit (#6)
Pressing the 6 key opens the Limit submenu in select measurement modes. Refer to subsections 4-1.6, 4-2.6,
4-3.4, and 4-4.4 for Limit menu and submenu details in various measurement modes.
Task Plan (#7)
Not active in current models.
System (#8)
Pressing the 8 key opens the system menu. Refer to Chapter 9 – System Operations for details.
Preset (#9)
Pressing the 9 key resets the instrument to its initial factory settings.
Help (#0)
Pressing Help opens the Help screen, providing context-sensitive help for main menu functions. The Help
screen displays instructions according to the measurement mode that is currently active.
AutoScl (.)
Not active in current models.
Run/Hold (+/-)
Pressing Run/Hold stops (“holds”) the current trace upon completion. Pressing the button a second time
resumes the trace function, placing the instrument into Free Run mode.
