Carbon fiber retaining cord looped around screw in air board. Use CA to
harden thread and form the loop.
Run fuel tube from UAT to fuel pump. See Appendix B
for location of engine components in prototype. Use
wire tie to secure.
Run fuel tube from main tank pickup to UAT. Loop
tubing to avoid kinks. If you are using 6 mm tubing,
put a short length of 4 mm tube on the fitting first and
cut off flush with fitting. Then install the 6 mm tube.
Wire tie.
Run Fuel tube for filling to UAT. In the prototype, all of
the air, fuel and gas service components are in the
rear hatch to avoid having to remove canopy during
normal field operations. Again, use a 4 mm sheath
and wire tie.
Finally, run a vent line. See photo for location of fuel
vent on prototype. Wire tie.
Location of fuel vent. Note carbon fiber retaining thread. Looks thin, but
will handle a significant load. Velcro will work for this application as well.
Plumbing installed on tanks. Note loop from main tank pickup to UAT to
avoid kinks. Pickup tubes must be splayed slightly to allow UAT to fit.
