With the strut retracted, transfer the ball link position to the edge of the 

door by marking the position with a straight edge.  This is mark 2.

The vertical location of the center of the strut block on the door will align 

with a point half way between the two marks. 

While the glue is drying, cut a piece of 2-56 all-thread 
to approximately 25 mm.  
Install two nylon ball links on either end, threading 
them on to the rod fully.  
Snap this linkage on to the two ball links and operate 
the door by hand.  Adjust length of linkage so that the 
door just fully closes without binding.  
Repeat steps for opposite door.
