Mezzanine card support bracket

Removing the mezzanine card support bracket

Prerequisites

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only

perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as
directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is
not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions
that came with the product.

NOTE: You must remove the mezzanine card support bracket to replace a faulty system board.

Ensure that you read the

Follow the procedure listed in

Before working inside your system

.

3.

Keep the #2 Phillips screwdriver ready.

4.

Remove the mezzanine card.

Steps
1.

Remove the screw that secures the mezzanine card support bracket to the system board.

2.

Orient the mezzanine card support bracket upward and slide it until the tabs on the mezzanine card

support bracket disengage from the slots on the system.

3.

Lift the mezzanine card support bracket away from the system.
