Steps

Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the LAN on Motherboard (LOM) riser card to the system board.

Push apart the two blue plastic clips securing the LOM riser card to release the riser.

Hold the LOM riser card by the edges on either side, and lift to remove it from the connector on the system board.

Slide the LOM riser card towards the front of the system until the Ethernet connectors or the SFP+ are clear of the slot in the back
panel.

Remove the LOM bracket.
a Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the bracket to the chassis.
b Slide the bracket out of the slot on the chassis.

If the LOM riser is not being replaced immediately, install the LOM filler bracket.
a Insert and slide the filler into the slot on the chassis.
b Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, secure the filler bracket to the chassis with a screw.
