Save SDF
Stores a Surface Data File (SDF) to the
USB Drive
. This provides
a means to perform a more detailed analysis of the surface using
third party image rendering/analysis software such as
Gwyddion
or
MountainsMap
.
Select
Save SDF
within the
Memory
menu. A progress bar will
appear while the SDF is saved
(approximately 2 minutes).
(
RTR-P Advanced models only
)
Only a single SDF can be stored at a time. Each saved image
overwrites the previous one.
The SDF can be accessed when connected to a computer (see
USB Drive
pg. 31). The SDF is stored in the root directory named
with the format: rtr_{datetime}.sdf
Cleaning the anvils (pg. 12) prior to measurement is
especially important when using the
PosiTector
RTR-P
to
generate surface images.
Optical Grade Replica Tape
(pg. 7) provides higher quality SDF
surface data files than conventional Press-O-Film replica tape. This
special grade of tape is recommended when taking measurements
which will be exported as SDF images.
