The installation shall comply with IEC 60364-7-722 Low-voltage electrical
installations, Part 7-722 Requirements for special installations or locations,
Supplies for electric vehicles. (Requirements for special installations or
locations, Supplies for electric vehicles).
Please note that there may be local regulations that apply, which may vary
depending on the region/state of installation. DazeBox must be installed in
accordance with local regulations.
The DazeBox power supply line must be dedicated and protected against:
▪
earth leakage circuit breaker Type A
▪ thermal-magnetic circuit breaker;
▪
release coil.
Differential Circuit Breaker (RCD)
DazeBox must be connected to a mains supply protected by an earth
leakage circuit breaker (RCD/circuit breaker). No other electrical circuits
may be connected to this earth leakage circuit breaker. The earth leakage
circuit breaker must:
▪
be at least type A (30 mA tripping current), as DazeBox has an
internal DC fault current monitoring of ≥ 6 mA;
▪
comply with one of the following standards: IEC 61008-1, IEC
61009-1, IEC 60947-2 and IEC 62423;
▪
disconnect all live conductors.
Do not use an automatic earth leakage circuit breaker reset system.
Circuit breaker (MCB)
The circuit breaker (MCB) must:
▪
be in accordance with the cable cross-section;
▪
be dimensioned taking into account the temperatures reached inside
the switchboard;
▪
comply with IEC 60947-2, IEC 60947-6-2, IEC 61009-1 or the relevant
parts of IEC 60898 or IEC 60269 series;
