Configuring the MSG instruction 

The MSG instruction is used to send explicit messages to node on a given network.  This 
example performs a Get_Attribute_Single to Class 1, Instance 1, Attribute 1 to the Datalogic 
Scanner.  The result is stored in a unsigned integer tag called “VendorID”. 
 

 

 
The communication tab configures the path to “DL”.  This is the name of the Datalogic Scanner 
device.
