3. ELECTRICAL
CONNECTIONS
3.1
Before connecting the power cables to the line input terminals L1 – L2 – L3, ensure that the main
switch on the power distribution panel is in OFF position (O), and that no one can switch on the
power accidentally.
3.2
Scrupulously observe all the regulations in force concerning safety and accident prevention.
3.3
Ensure that all the terminals are fully tightened,
paying particular attention to the earth
terminal.
3.4
Connect the cables to the terminal board as indicated in the wiring diagrams shown in Fig.1-2-3-4-5.
3.5
Check that all the connecting cables are in excellent condition, with the external sheathing unbroken.
3.6
Remove the 4 cross-headed M5 screws on the cover of the casing, to gain access to the electrical
connections (see Fig. 1 – 2 ).
When connecting the mains and control cables, it is advisable to make a loop.
3.7
The Hydrodriver contains components with very sensitive semiconductors which are
particularly vulnerable to electrostatic charges. Avoid touching the conduction tracks or the
components with your hands or with metal objects.
3.8
Check that the differential switch that protects the system is of the right size.
Install differential switches in the system, type :
Class A, with adjustable leakage current, selective, protected against inopportune
tripping.
The automatic differential switches must be marked with one of the following two
symbols:
3.9
Provide automatic protection of the power supply line against short circuits, using
ACR fuses type “gG” according to the following table:

POWER SUPPLY NETWORK CONNECTIONS
4.1
For the connections of the power supply network, use only class 1 copper leads for
60/75°C.
If clamped connections are not used, the maximum uncovered length is 5mm.
4.2
Pass the mains cable through the cable clamp, as indicated in Fig. 1-2.
Connect the mains cables to the connections L1, L2, L3 ( L1, L2 for single-phase appliances) and the
separate earth terminal.
Use a cross-headed screwdriver with width 4 – 5 mm to open the connecting terminals.
