4. INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
4.1 Pump installation
The pumps may contain small
quantities of residual water from
testing. We advise flushing them briefly
with clean water before their final
installation.
The electropump must be installed in a well ventilated
place, protected from inclement weather and with an
environment temperature no higher than 40°C.
A solid anchoring of the pump to its support base
helps absorb any vibrations created by pump
operation.
Always fit the pump on a base with the intake opening
horizontal and the delivery opening vertical.
The pump must be installed exclusively in horizontal
position.
Do not allow the metal pipes to weigh down on the
pump openings, transmitting excessive strain, so as
not to create deformations or breakages. Anchor the
pipes separately if possible.
The suction pipe must be as short as possible. For
suction depths of more than 4 metres or with long
horizontal stretches, it is recommended to use a
suction pipe with a diameter larger than that of the
suction opening of the electropump.
To avoid the formation of air pockets in the suction
pipe, ensure a slight positive tilt of the same towards
the electropump.
To avoid transmitting vibrations to the system, after
delivery it is recommended to use the flexible pipe that
is supplied inside the packing.
If it is not possible to use the flexible pipe to make the
connection, use only Teflon tape.
