XFP Port

The 10 Gigabit Small Form Factor Pluggable (XFP) port provides protocol-independent transmission and receiver
functionality for 10Gbps Ethernet. The XFP port is located on the DXS-3227/3227P front panel, and an optional
XFP module can be inserted into the device’s back panel.

The XFP module can be removed and inserted as required, as the figure below illustrates.

Caution

It is recommended to disconnect the power from the switch before inserting or removing the XFP Module.
