There exists a one-to-one relationship between the primary and backup 

interface. Following rules apply for backup configuration: 
1. Cannot configure a single interface to act as backup for two or more primary 
interfaces. 

2. If an interface is configured as a backup interface it cannot be made a primary 
interface. 

3. When auto backup is selected all configurations other than Virtual Server and 
VPN made for a backup interface will be applied automatically, like the connection 
type for the WAN interface, Static Routes configured on this interface, NAT 
configured on this interface, etc. 

4. An interface cannot be connected manually if it is made a backup interface in 
auto mode. 

5. An interface cannot be connected manually if it is made a backup interface in
