10BASE-T
The original Ethernet LAN communica-
tions standard set by the IEEE (in
standard 802.3); a 10Mbps standard.
10Mbps
10 million bits per second; an expression of
transmission speed in a network.
A
Address
A number, set of numbers, or name which
uniquely identifies a computer, network
device, or network resource.
B
Bandwidth
The range of frequencies available across a
communications channel; in one sense, the
“size” or “speed” of the communications
channel.
