D-Link DCS-5029L User Manual

Section 4 - Configuration

In a typical application, when motion is detected, the DCS-5029L sends images to a FTP server, using e-mail for event notification. As shown in the

diagram below, an event can be triggered by various sources, such as motion detection or external digital input devices. When an event is

triggered, a specified action will be performed. You can configure the camera to send snapshots or videos to your e-mail address or to an FTP server.

To start plotting an event, we suggest that you configure

Server

and

Media

columns first so that the network camera will know what action will be performed

when a trigger is activated.
