5 for Alarm Message
Voice Report (3,1)
Voice Report
Press 0 for OFF, 1 for ON
This allows the keypad to enable or disable announcements, for example,
“Security Off”, “Away Mode” , “Night Mode”, “Front Door” reminder and
door chimes. By default, announcements are enabled for all keypads. For
bedrooms and especially baby’s rooms these announcements are not
desirable. Announcements can be disabled at any particular keypad by
setting Voice Report OFF.
This operation only affects the keypad
which is being programmed
. Hence you need to repeat the operation
at all the keypads where announcements are to be disabled.
When Voice Reports are disabled at a keypad, this keypad will not be
able to hear another keypad talking in intercom mode. However, you can
talk to a keypad with announcements disabled by selecting the keypad,
i.e. pressing F8 followed by the keypad number.
Pager Code (3,3)
Pager Code 1234
Enter new number and # key
The pager code is the 4-digit identification code which is displayed on the
pager before the alarm type and zone/user number. Enter the new 4
digit pager code and #, or just # to leave the code unchanged. If you
have Comfort installed in your home and office, for example, this code
identifies which system generated the page.
Engineer Sign-in Option (3,4)
This menu determines whether the Engineer Code can be used to sign-in
to gain access to the Engineer Menu. If you set this option Off, the
Engineer code will not be able to gain access to the system. The
Engineer Sign-in Option is disabled automatically whenever the system is
armed and at midnight each day as a safety precaution. Your installer
may ask you to enable the Engineer Sign-in to allow remote access to
your system to check or diagnose the system. Keypad Function 0 may
also be programmed to enable Engineer Code.
