Clear a Track
To clear a track while in Track Write mode, first select the track to be
cleared using the Track/Instrument switch. Set its length to one bar
using the following steps:
1. Press
[FUNC]
+
[LENGTH]
to enter the track length setting menu.
2. Navigate to the first page of your track using
[PAGE]
.
3. Press
[1]
to set the track's new length to one.
This procedure deletes all bars in your track except bar #1.
Lesson 19
Playing and Performing Tracks
Track Play mode is the easiest way to play and perform your tracks
without making accidental changes. In Track Play mode, you can also
add non-destructive live performance elements to the track while it
plays.
With the sequencer stopped, set the
Mode switch to Track Play and set
the Track/Instrument switch to track 1. Press
[START/STOP]
and your
track will loop continuously.
You can perform any of the following while the track plays:
 Modify the instrument mix by pressing
[FUNC]
+
[MIX]
(refer to
Lesson 11).
 Select a range of bars to instruct the sequencer to repeatedly
loop them (refer to Lesson 3). This lets you set new loop points
while the sequencer is running.
 Adjust the Tone of an instrument (refer to Lesson 7).
 Add live performance elements to the track or loop (refer to
Lesson 10).
Note that changing the Track/Instrument switch while a track is playing
will not change the track that is playing. This will instead change the
instrument selection for live performance elements and Tone
adjustments. The sequencer must be stopped in order to change to a
different track.
