To set the Time Scale for a pattern, the Drum Drone must be in Pattern
Write or Pattern Play mode and the sequencer must be stopped.* Press
and hold
[TIME]
. The indicators of buttons
[1]

reflect the time scale
options described above. The time scale assigned to the current
pattern(s) is brightly lit while the other options are dimly lit. Press the
[#]
button to assign the corresponding time scale to the current pattern,
then release
[TIME]
to exit the menu.
* You
can
change a pattern's Time Scale while the sequencer is running
by pressing
[TIME]
+(
[1]
-
[4]
) and holding the buttons for two seconds.
This special operation is required in order to prevent accidental Time
Scale changes during live performances which could disrupt your drum
machine's synchronization with other gear.
Shuffle Amount
The sequencer can add shuffle or 'swing' when playing patterns. The
Shuffle Amount setting is applied to the playback of all patterns. The
lowest Shuffle Amount setting corresponds to no shuffle.
To set the Shuffle Amount, press and hold
[TIME]
. The indicators of
buttons

reflect the available range of shuffle amounts. The
current Shuffle Setting is brightly lit. To choose a new setting, press a
[#]
button or turn the
Tone
knob, then release
[TIME]
to exit the menu.
Flam Time
The Flam Time, or the time between the two drum strikes of a flam step,
is adjustable. This is a global setting that is applied by the sequencer to
all instrument steps with the Flam modifier applied.
The Flam Time can be set to a value from 10 to 160 milliseconds. Press
[TIME]
+
[FLAM]
to enter the Flam Time menu. To choose a new setting,
press a [#] button or turn the
Tone
knob, then release
[TIME]
to exit the
menu.
Tip!
You can achieve higher resolution in setting values for Shuffle
Amount and Flam Time by using the
Tone
knob to adjust those values
while in their menus.
