Lesson 16
Kits
A Kit is a stored snapshot of all instrument parameters that can be saved
and recalled later. Use Kits to store and load particular tunings or
instrument types that you like. Up to 16 Kits can be stored. Kits are
applied globally and are not associated with specific patterns.
Kits include several properties for each instrument:
the Tone knob setting (see Lesson 7);
the Instrument Timbre selection (see Lesson 6);
the Nuance settings (see Lesson 12).
Kits are stored and recalled through the Kits menu, which can be
accessed at any time by pressing
[FUNC]
+
[KITS]
. The display shows
which slots contain saved Kits. You can do any of the following:
To load a Kit, press a
[#]
button to first audition it. Then press
[FUNC]
to save your selection and exit the menu, or press
[CLEAR]
to exit the menu without loading a Kit.
To store a new Kit, press and hold the target
[#]
button for two
seconds. The button will change to a bright red color to indicate
that the Kit was saved. Press
[FUNC]
to exit the menu.
To erase a Kit, press and hold
[CLEAR]

for two seconds,
where
[#]
corresponds to the Kit slot to be cleared.
