Auto-Fill Interval
The Auto-Fill feature in Pattern Mode instructs the sequencer to
automatically play the Fill variation of a pattern at a specified interval.
The Auto-Fill function is controlled by pressing
[TIME]
+
[FILL]
. The
available Auto-Fill interval options are shown with dimly lit buttons, and
these intervals are 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 bars. Press the
[#]
button that
corresponds to your desired interval.
For example, at a setting of
4
the normal pattern will play three times
then the Fill variation will play once automatically. This sequence will
repeat with the Fill playing every 4th bar.
Press
[FUNC]
to exit the Auto-Fill menu. When Auto-Fill is active the
[FILL]
LED will be flashing. Press
[CLEAR]
in the Auto-Fill menu to turn Auto-Fill
off.

Tap Tempo
Set the sequencer's tempo by holding
[TIME]
and pressing
[TAP]
along
with the quarter notes of target tempo. At least three presses of
[TAP]
are
required to accurately set the tempo. If
[TAP]
is pressed only once, the
sequencer will do its best to shift the start of the pattern to the time when
[TAP]
was pressed. These tools make it possible to beat-match your
drum machine to another instrument or song.
The
Tempo
knob will resume control of the tempo if the
Tempo
knob is
moved.
