Software Downloads Using the GUI
To download new software, (
only
if
instructed by a Carlson Wireless technician)
click on the “Program Download” button on
the
Configuration
tab and browse to the
location of the file as shown to the right. For
the CPE units, use the firmware
“
station_xxx
” file and the software
CPE
APPxxx.hex
file. For the Base unit, use the
firmware “
station_xxx
” file and the software
LINE CARD APPxxx.hex
file. Select the
file, and click “Open” to start downloading.

The new CPE and Base unit software will
take about one minute to download. The
firmware takes about 3 or 4 minutes
to download. To the right you will see
a sample of what you should see during
the download.
Do not interrupt the download!
When the download is complete the unit
will automatically reboot and update the
version. Once the “Program Download”
button reappears, you can select another
file to download.
