11. - FAULTS, POSSIBLE CAUSES AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS.
CAUTION: Those service procedures require that the system pressure is off, are marked with a ®
symbol. When service work is finished, reconnect the water pressure to the system and perform
the system start-up.
Problem
Probable cause
Solution
1.
The display won’t turn on.
a. Transformer power cord unplugged.

The rotation of the turbine is
restricted due to foreign matter in the
meter. ®
d. Faulty circuit board.
a.
b.
c.
d.
Change to normal service position.
Insert the probe fully into its housing.
Remove the turbine and rinse with
water. The turbine should spin
freely, and if not you have to
change the meter.
Replace the programmer.
3. The control regenerates at
the wrong time.
a. Power cuts.
b. The clock was set to the wrong time.
a.
b.
Set the clock to the correct time.
Set the clock to the correct time.
4. Continuous regeneration.
a. Faulty programmer.
a.
Replace the programmer.
5. The control does not
regenerate automatically but
does regenerate when the
button is pressed.
a. If the water flow indicator does not
work, refer to point No. 5 of the table.
b. Faulty circuit board.
c.
Hardness and capacity are
set incorrectly.
a.
b.
c.
As the same as point 2 of this
manual.
Replace the programmer. Set
correct values.
See the programming section.
6. The water comes out hard
between regenerations.
a. Wrong regenerating.
b. Softener resin dirty.
c.
Incorrect salt dosage.
d. Graduation hardness or wrong
capacity.
e. Increase in water hardness.
f.
Restricted rotation of the turbine
due to foreign particles in the
meter. ®
g. Excessive use of water.
a.
b.
c.
d.
e.
f.
g.
Repeat the regeneration, verifying
that there is the correct dosage of
salt.
Use a resin cleaner
1
.
Review system programming
depending on the litres of resin.
Set correct values. See the
programming section.
Setting a new hardness value.
See the programming section.
Remove and unlock the turbine
and rinse with clean water. DO
NOT REMOVE THE TURBINE
FROM THE METRE HOUSING.
The turbine should spin freely,
and if not, replace the meter.
Repair pipes and / or fittings
leaking.
7. No brine is drawn.
a. Low water pressure.
b. Clogged drain line and
obstructed aspiration.
c.
Blocked injector. ®
d. Faulty injector. ®
a.
b.
c.
d.
