OUTLET INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
This appliance is for 120 volts only and should
not be used with a converter.
Maximum rating is based on the optional provided attachment that
draws the greatest load. Other recommended attachments may draw
significantly less power or current.

HELPFUL HINTS
• The The Cuisinart
®
Fruit & Vegetable Presscan process either
uncooked or blanched tomatoes, parboiled apples or pears, pumpkin,
squash, potatoes, berries and more.
• For thicker sauce, take the pulp/seeds that have been extruded
through the pulp exit and run them through the machine again.
This will collect any of the remaining juice and help to thicken
sauce.
Tomatoes:
The Cuisinart
®
Fruit & Vegetable Press will easily puree
fresh tomatoes, remove the seeds, core and skin with no pre-cooking.
However, for best results blanch the tomatoes in a strainer over boiling
water or boil them for 30-60 seconds. Steam or boil the tomatoes until
the skin starts to crack. (Blanched tomatoes are easier to feed, with little
force needed to push the tomatoes down the feed chute). After cooking,
let the tomatoes cool, then cut into quarters before processing.

Apples and Pears:
For best results, apples and pears should be
softened before processing. Place apples or pears into boiling water and
par-boil until soft.
(Note: Quarter fruit either before or after softening). Strain and place
quarters into The Cuisinart
®
Fruit & Vegetable Pressfor processing.
Screen to use: Apple / Pear Screen
Berries:
The Cuisinart
®
Fruit & Vegetable Press makes it easy to create
homemade jams and jellies. Different berries and fruits can be combined
to create custom flavours.
Screen to use: Tomato / Multi-Purpose Screen.
Pumpkin, Squash, Potato:
For best results, cut into 1 inch (2.5cm) thick
cubes and boil or bake until tender. Allow to cool (scoop the pulp out of
pumpkin or squash) and process through The Cuisinart
®
Fruit & Vegetable
Press for perfect mashed potatoes, pumpkin, or squash.
NOTE: When using Potato / Pumpkin / Squash Screen, suggest to remove
sauce funnel and place bowl directly below screen.

Notice:
For any fruits with a large pit (ie. peaches / cherries / mangos /
avocados etc.), pit must be removed before processing to prevent
jamming.
