frequency though not necessarily the MSK bit rate of the closest
beacon.
The GBX also provides the capability to select a beacon by name from
the World Beacon Table stored within receiver memory. You can
update this table via the GBX serial port, as detailed in Section 3.8. You
may also construct a custom User list of up to 10 beacons, as
described in Section 3.7, allowing quicker access to the beacons that
you use the most often.
3.6 Beacon Receiver Performance - SNR
Reading
The Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) best describes GBX’s internal beacon
receiver performance. The SNR is the height of the signal above the
noise floor. The higher the SNR, the better the beacon receiver is
demodulating the signal. You can easily monitor the SNR in the
Beacon Status menu.
Table 3-3 describes the general quality of reception with respect to the
SNR reading of the internal beacon receiver of the GBX.
