Specifications 

Selection of chemical additives is open to customer preference. 
however, to achieve optimal performance, selected chemical 
additives must meet as a minimum, the following specifications.

To achieve maximum cleaning efficiency, select chemical appropriate 
to  soil  type  being  processed.  Crest  recommends  the  following 
chemicals:

Chem-Crest® 14EZ 

- is a mildly alkaline and enzymatic liquid 

detergent for the cleaning of surgical instruments. It is designed to 
be used in an ultrasonic bath for the removal of blood, tissue, 
ointments, light oils, bodily excretions, and other contaminants 
associated with surgical instruments. It is formulated to be low 
foaming and an aggressive blood remover. It is non- caustic and 
phosphate free. 

• 

Chem-Crest® LF275 

- is a multipurpose, heavy-duty, phosphate 

and silicate-free caustic liquid detergent. It is useful in many 
applications demanding removal of various contaminants such as 
oil, greases, and particulates. This detergent finds many uses 
throughout industrial, mechanical and maintenance cleaning 
operations including spray and turbulent environments. 

NOTE: Crest does not promote, recommend or endorse the use 
of any type of chemical additives (e.g  ., strong alkaline 
detergents [pH>12], alcohol rinses and liquid germicides 
including hypocloric acid [bleach] in the processing of articles in 
the Ultrasonic Cleaning System
