8.0 Why Nexus?
Several prosthetic hands are still not touch screen compatible and in some cases a wand is needed to type on
a normal keyboard. Thinking of how prosthetics need to respond to modern day life, we designed the Nexus
Hand to be compatible with these new technologies.
8.6 Remote Firmware Updates
8.7 Various Grip Switch Triggers
To keep the Nexus Hand up to date with the latest features, we are periodically providing new firmware updates.
We are the first company in the industry to offer remote firmware updates. We know this is somebody’s hand
and a day without it is a massive inconvenience.
Our technology now allows users to update their Nexus Hand from the comfort of their home.
The Nexus Hand has numerous switching options to give users fast access to a multitude of grips. There is no
need for external Bluetooth, accelerometers, or RFID triggers.
To change grips or tables users can assign an open/open, long hold open or co-contraction signal, use the
dorsal button, the force sensitive resistors in the fingertips and the pronate/supinate thumb tap. We have 14
available grips to help users go about their daily life.
