your new Courant coffee maker. Read all instructions carefully! Courant is not respon-

sible for damage or injuries caused by improper use of the appliance.

GENERAL SAFETY

1.  READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS

2.  Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

3.  Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

4.  Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.

5.  Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn

the switch to the

OFF

position and then remove plug from wall outlet.

6.  Do not immerse appliance or power cord into water or any other liquids.

7.  Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being used by children aged from

8 years and above if they have been given instruction concerning use of the appliance in a

safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

8.  Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

9.  Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities

or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction

concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

10.  If the supplied power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service

agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

11.  Before using this product, check that the voltage of wall outlet corresponds to coffee maker

rating label.

12.  The appliance must be grounded.

13.  Do not place the coffee maker on hot surface or beside fire.

14.  Remove plug from wall outlet before cleaning and when not in use. Allow appliance to cool

down completely before taking off, attaching components or before cleaning.

tions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized

of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug

electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of
