example of the installation procedure for a CORREX
®
UP system. The illustra-
tion shows the installation in a flange-type cover. The actual situation depends
on tank type, tank size, type of anode and connecting cables used.

1. Scope of application
The retrofitting kit permits installing the titanium anode and the required
components in conformity with the requirements for insulated-hole mounting.
2. Illustration
Fig. 4 in the Annex 'Mounting kit for retrofitting' shows the order in which
the individual parts are to be installed.

1. Empty the storage tank, if necessary.
2. For retrofitting, remove the old protective (Mg) anode, if any.
3. If not yet existing, drill a hole with a diameter of 10.5 mm into the
flange-type cover of the hot-water strorage tank.
