SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
This section describes service and maintenance
procedures to be performed on the Unit.
IMPORTANT: Only qualified personnel should
service internal components or electrical wiring.
PREPARING UNIT FOR SHIPPING,
STORING, OR RELOCATING
CAUTION: Before shipping, storing,
or relocating this Unit, the
concentrate system must be
sanitized and all sanitizing solution must be
purged from the concentrate system. All
water must also be purged from the plain
water system. A freezing ambient
environment will cause residual water inside
the Unit to freeze resulting in damage to it’s
internal components.
ADJUSTMENTS
ADJUSTING PRIMARY CO
2
REGULATOR
FOR BAG-IN-BOX CONCENTRATE PUMP
(see Figure 2)
CAUTION: Make sure primary CO
2
regulator adjusting screw is turned
all the way to the left
(counterclockwise) until all tension is
relieved from the adjusting screw before
opening the CO
2
cylinder shutoff valve.
Turn primary CO
2
regulator adjusting screw to the
right (Clockwise) until pressure gage reads 50-psi,
then tighten adjusting screw locknut. DO NOT
EXCEED MAXIMUM PRESSURE SPECIFIED ON
THE CONCENTRATE PUMP.
ADJUSTING DISPENSING VALVE WATER
FLOW RATE
(see Figure 3)
The water flow rate should be approximately five
ounces of water dispensed in a four-second period.
Adjust water flow valve as follows:
1. Remove acorn nut securing dispensing valve
cover, then cover.
2. Place large chamber of ratio cup (shown in
Figure 3) under dispensing valve nozzle.
3. Operate dispensing valve for exactly four
seconds. Approximately five ounces of water
should have been dispensed. Make this
measurement at least twice.
4. If the amount of water was too much, turn
dispensing valve water flow regulator adjusting
screw (Figure 3) counterclockwise a quarter of
a turn at a time. Repeat dispensed water
measurement after each adjustment until the
correct quantity of water is dispensed. If the
amount of water dispensed is not enough, turn
the water flow regulator adjusting screw
clockwise a quarter turn at a time. Repeat
dispensed water measurement after each
adjustment until the correct quantity of water is
dispensed.
NOTE: If water flow rate adjustment is made on
an operating Unit, the Water-To-Concentrate
“Ratio” will be affected and must be adjusted.
The procedure is found in the Service and
Maintenance Section.
CHECKING WATER-TO-CONCENTRATE
“RATIO” OF DISPENSED PRODUCT
NOTE: Before performing Water-To-“Ratio”
check of the dispensed product, be sure that
water flow rate of the dispensing valve is
adjusted to desired flow rate.
The Water-To-concentrate “Ratio” is measured by
use of a ratio cup (P/N 311100-000) and a
concentrate by-pass assembly (P/N 318759-000) as
shown in Figure 3. Two of the three cup chambers
are used, the smaller chamber is used for
concentrate, and the larger for water. The ratio, if
incorrect, is adjusted by turning the concentrate flow
regulator adjusting screw on the dispensing valve.
Check Water-To- Concentrate “Ratio” of dispensed
product as follows:
1. Remove acorn nut securing dispensing valve
cover, then remove cover.
2. Install the concentrate by-pass assembly on the
dispensing valve by pushing the tube end of the
by-pass assembly into the baffle which is inside
the nozzle.
3. Place the large chamber of the ratio cup under
the nozzle, and the concentrate by-pass
assembly into the concentrate chamber of the
correct ratio.
4. Operate the dispensing valve and dispense
approximately five ounces of product into the
ratio cup.
