Log File Collection
The AP collects the following log data.
Two methods are available to get the log file. You can use a CF card to get the log file directly from the
AP itself or you can use the FTP to get the log file via the LAN. The log file is in text format and can be
displayed in the Notepad or WordPad programs that come with Windows.
CAUTION
To collect the log file, log collection must be enabled. Note also that the contents of the log file
differ depending on the operating mode and software settings.
The collected log file is stored the CF card with the following file name.
File name : LOGFILE
Using CF card to Get the Log File
(1) Turn off the AP power supply, then unplug the CF card.
(2) Load the log file from the unplugged CF card.
(3) Plug the CF card back to the AP.
CAUTION

Do not plug or unplug the CF card with the AP power supply on.

The CF card adapter is required for the PC to read from or write to the CF card.
Using FTP to Get the Log File
(1) Run FTP to log in to the AP.
(2) Transfer the log file.
(3) Exit FTP.
The following example shows how to get the log file using the FTP command coming standard with
Windows. Invoke the MS-DOS prompt or command prompt and follow the procedure below to get the
log file.The example assumes the IP address as 10.168.132.15.
C:\>ftp 10.168.132.15
ftp>get logfile
ftp>bye
