Supplying power through the UTP cable
The FX-DS540-AP can be powered by using the power supply separator unit (POW-SP20) and power
supply unit (POW-CB20 or POW-CBM4).
As the FX-DS540-APP contains a power supply separator unit (equivalent to the POW-SB20), it can be
powered directly from the power supply unit (POW-CB20 or POW-CBM4).
For details, refer to the manual for each model.

CAUTION
-
The total length of UTP cables between the power destination and the hub must be a maximum of
90m. Adjust the lengths of cables so that “(1) + (2) + (3)” does not exceed 90 m.

Do not connect the AP-side UTP cable of the POW-CBM4 to a device such as a hub as doing so can
cause a device fault or accident.

Do not use the power supply unit along with the AC adapter bundled with the FX-DS540-APP.
-
Do not connect the AC cable of the FX-DS540-AP main unit.

The power switch on the FX-DS540-AP main unit is disabled. Use the unit with the switch off.
