6.4.2 IP
Filtering
This screen sets filter rules that limit IP traffic (Outgoing/Incoming). Multiple
filter rules can be set and each applies at least one limiting condition. For
individual IP packets to pass the filter all conditions must be fulfilled.
NOTE:
This function is not available when in bridge mode. Instead of IP
Filtering,
(pg. 52) performs a similar function.
Outgoing IP Filter
The default setting for Outgoing traffic is
ACCEPTED
. Under this condition, all
outgoing IP packets that match the filter rules will be
BLOCKED
.
To add a filtering rule, click the
Add
button. The following screen will display.
Filter Name
Type a name for the filter rule.
Protocol
TCP, TCP/UDP, UDP or ICMP.
Source IP address
Enter source IP address.
Source Subnet Mask
Enter source subnet mask.
Source Port (port or port:port)
Enter source port number or range.
Destination IP address
Enter destination IP address.
Destination Subnet Mask
Enter destination subnet mask.
Destination port (port or port:port) Enter destination port number or range.
Click
Save/Apply
to save and activate the filter.
