Introduction
This Installation Guide and Operational Manual should be read by any person charged
with and responsible for the installation and operation of any ACom model. International,
national and (where applicable) regional rules and regulations concerning electric appli-
ances must be observed under all circumstances. The Operational Manual explains how
to install and operate the ACom.
Use for Designated Purpose
The Video Alarm System ACom transmits video-/audio and control signals via public tel-
ecommunication networks (ISDN, PSTN, GSM). It is intended for the use in video moni-
toring systems. The intrusion of external alarm triggers can automatically activate differ-
ent functions. If a hard disc is installed, you can record video data. Other applications are
not permitted.

The Video Alarm System ACom complies with the European Regulations 89/336 (Elec-
tromagnetic Compatibility) and 73/23 changed by 93/68 (Regulation on Low Voltage).
Type Plates
Model description and serial number are identified on the type plate at the bottom of the
casing. Make a note of them prior to assembly in order to be able to quote them when
you have questions or want to order spare parts.
