ACom6
Audio Connection
☞
Important
The audio function is only available for the models ACom6A and ACom6HA. It
cannot be retrofitted for the other models.
ACom6A and ACom6HA are both equipped with two audio inputs and outputs respec-
tively at the audio terminal block. Here, you can attach two parallel audio and video connec-
tions such as a microphone, a loud-speaker and a phone receiver. At any one time, howev-
er, only one of these may be active.
The audio signals are transmitted bidirectionally and simultaneously with the video sig-
nals. This can be used, for instance, to activate a loud-speaker at the surveillance site or
to listen to an intercom at the entrance door. Transmission of audio data is generally only
possible via the ISDN-network, not by using ordinary phone lines.
