(12/99)
You can enter an identification number for the ACom (no more than 12 digits). This
number is to be read during the establishment of any connection before (if applicable) a
password is entered. This allows you to identify which ACom is calling even if the devices
are password protected. It is not permitted to give the same ID-number to two or more
different devices.

EAZ/MSN
The MSN is a complete call number (without area code). You must programme the entire
call number to which the ACom is meant to respond. The ACom will only accept the call if
the call number as dialled is identical with this MSN.
• Enter the number in the text box EAZ/MSN: depending on the protocol in use either
the MSN (entire call number) or the EAZ (last number) of your ISDN-connection.
ISDN-protocol
You can perform different settings for the ISDN-connection. You may, for instance, define
whether the connection from the ACom will be operated as a switched line or as a non-
switched line via one or both of the B-channels.
• Select the ISDN-protocol applied from the list box.
ACom-HW Version/ACom-SW Version
These are the generation numbers (version numbers) of the hardware components and
the software installed in the ACom. Write down these numbers before you contact any
branch of computer services.
Modem init string
In order to operate a modem which is connected to the ACom you have to enter the ini-
tialization commands. Information on how to proceed is included in the documentation
for the modem in use.
• Enter the command chain for the initialization of the modem in the text box and click
Set to save your entry.
Configuration
You can save the entire configuration of the ACom in one file or load a configuration which
you have previously saved. This allows you to set up a configuration once and then use it
several times.
