Slide the access panel toward the rear of the unit about 1.25 cm (0.5 inch) and lift to
remove the panel.

Reverse steps 1 through 4 to replace the access panel.
Hot-Plug Fan
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to remove and replace a fan as a hot-plug
procedure unless the fan zone is redundant.
To remove a fan:
1.
Extend or remove the device from the rack. See the “Preparation Procedures” section in
this chapter.
2.
Remove the access panel. See the “Access Panel” section in this chapter.
3.
Press the release lever on the side of the fan.
4.
Lift the fan.
