Removing Hot-Plug Fans
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hazardous energy or
damage to the equipment when working on energized servers.
■
Remove all watches, rings, and any other loosely fitting jewelry.
■
Avoid the use of conductive tools that could bridge live parts inside the
server.
1.
Pull the locking latch toward the center of the fan
.
2.
Lift the hot-plug fan out of the fan cage
.

WARNING:

■
Remove all watches, rings, and any other loosely fitting jewelry.
■
Avoid the use of conductive tools that could bridge live parts inside the
server.
1.
Lower the new hot-plug fan into the fan cage
, until it clicks in place.
2.
Secure the fan by tightening thumbscrew or thumbscrews
finger-tight.
