REPLACING THE BATTERY (continued)
BATTERY DISPOSAL
The rechargeable nickel cadmium (NiCad) battery in this product must be
recycled or disposed of properly in compliance with all applicable laws.
Certain states or municipalities require recycling and have established collec-
tion programs. Please contact your local waste removal authority for instruc-
tions, or return to Cobra for recycling. Please wrap batteries carefully and mail
postage prepaid to:

DO NOT PUT BATTERIES INTO
FIRE OR EXPOSE TO HIGH HEAT.
THEY MAY EXPLODE.
1.
Press and slide battery door on
the handset down to remove it.
2.
Carefully disconnect the battery
plug and remove battery. Dispose
of properly (see BATTERY DIS-
POSAL, below).

Connect the new battery and
replace battery door. Before
using new battery, return
handset to base and charge
battery overnight (at least 12
hours).

CLEANING THE CHARGING CONTACTS
Clean the four metal charging contacts on the top and bottom of the handset
with a soft, dry cloth on a regular basis to ensure optimum performance of
the battery-charging system.
