To set up the function of the cradle
The AVIATOR Wireless Handset can be operated as hand-held or hands-
free. You can select whether the handset should detect the cradle or not.
To set up the cradle settings, do as follows:
1. From the
Settings
menu, select
Cradle
.
2. To have the handset detect whether or
not it is in the cradle, check the box.
This is the default mode. The function
is as follows:
• You can answer calls by removing
the handset from the cradle, and
terminate a call by putting the
handset back in the cradle.
• The handset automatically changes
to hands-free when you make or answer a call with the handset in
the cradle.
• If you take the handset from the cradle during the call, it
automatically changes to hand-held operation.
• In hand-held mode, when you put the handset in the cradle, the call
is terminated.
• In hands-free mode, when you put the handset in the cradle the call
is not affected.
3. To make the handset independent of the cradle, clear the box.
This means you must always use

to start and end calls,
and you can only enable or disable hands-free operation by using the
keypad.
