Gather the parts:
• Customer-supplied 1" x 4" retaining board
• Roll-up curtain panel (or panels)
• FAJ104 (1/4" x 2") lag screws and FAME50B
1/4" flat washers to secure retaining board
The following instructions describe attaching one roll-up curtain
to the frame.
For multiple roll-up curtains, panels will overlap
each other at seams between the building ends.
As a result,
overlapped curtains will open and close in a specific order for
proper operation.
A customer-supplied retaining board is required to attach the
upper edge of each curtain to the upper face board. See the
exploded view (A) at the right. The lower face board serves as
the point where the roll-up conduit rests when the curtain is in the
down/closed position.
Complete these steps to install the roll-up curtain panel:
1. With assistance, unfold one panel along the frame and lift the
upper edge—no pocket—up to the upper face board. Using
customer-supplied roofing nails or a similar fastener with a flat
head, stretch the curtain along the face board and tack it in
place using the nails.
2. Take the customer-supplied 1" x 4" retaining board, place it
over the upper edge of the curtain, and square it with the face
board.
3. Secure the retaining board to the face board using FAJ104B
(1/4" x 2") lag screws (included) and FAME50B 1/4" flat
washers. Space lag screws every 24".
Do not secure the
end of the face board until you have overlapped and
installed the next curtain panel.
4. Assemble and attach roll-up conduit. See next page.

ATTENTION:
Measure all panels to determine
the amount of overlap during the installation
of adjacent panels. Typical overlap of installed
roll-up curtain panels is approximately 18".
(Depending on length, overlap may be greater.)
