RAFTER ASSEMBLY TIPS
STEP 2: ASSEMBLE THE INNER
RAFTER CHORD
Using the front profile diagram in the
Quick Start section, gather the parts
for the inner chord of the rafter and
assemble the rafter as shown in the
diagram to the right.
Begin at the base on each side and
work toward the top.
Install the horizontal tube last.
Install all bolts and nuts to connect
the straight rafter tubes.
Verify that the studs for the lateral
braces are in the correct positions.
See the next page.
Do not tighten any bolts at this time.
Once the inner chord is assembled,
check the on-center width of the
rafter at the ends and tighten all
bolts.
STEP 1: ASSEMBLE THE CURVED
OUTER RAFTER CHORD
Using the Front Profile diagram in the
Quick Start section, gather the parts
for the curved outer chord of the rafter
and assemble the rafter as shown in
the diagram to the right.
Install all bolts and nuts to connect the
curved rafter tubes.
Do not tighten any bolts at this time.
Once the curved outer chord is
assembled, continue with the next
step.

is found on the next page and in the Quick Start
Guide of these instructions.
HINT: To better align the bolt holes,
have an assistant move the rafter
end/base back and forth as needed
during assembly while you insert the
bolts into the holes.
See the arrows below.
NOTE:
The manufacturing process
may cause some bolt holes to be
misaligned. Use a drill and 9/16"
hardened drill bit or reamer bit to
slightly enlarge the bolt holes if
needed.
Lightly tap the bolts through the
holes using a dead-blow hammer.
Be careful not to damage to the bolt
threads.
