7. Move to one end of the frame and, using the straps
in the cover bonnet as guides, fasten a ratchet to the
each leg of the end rafter at the required height.
NOTE:
Verify that the strap is the same length on each
side before attaching the ratchets. Allow a few inches
to remain between the cover bonnet and the ratchet.
Optional end panel: If the building is equipped with the
optional end panel, the ratchets for the main cover are
attached
through the installed end panel
. The optional
end panels are not shown in these diagrams.
The metal panels for the outrigger end frame and roof
are not shown in the following diagrams.
8. Thread each strap end into the ratchet and slightly
tighten to keep the cover in position.
NOTE:
Do not tighten straps completely at this time.
9. Repeat Steps 7 and 8 to attach the ratchets to the
remaining end rafter.
10. Locate the remaining ratchets and divide the number of
ratchets in half.
11. On the inside of the main frame, place the ratchets
on the ground next to the rafter where they will be
attached.
Photos shown are for a similar application. The steps to install
the straps are the same.
The cover shown in the diagrams and photos may differ in design
from the actual cover. The step to install are the same.
NOTE:
Consult the Side Profile Diagram in the Quick
Start Section of this manual for your building for ratchet
locations.
When installing ratchets, attach ratchets across from
each other on the same rafter.
For frames with an even number of rafters, two ratchets
may be positioned side-by-side on the two middle
rafters on the same side.
12. Attach each side ratchet to the shelter using a Tek
screw. See photo above for proper ratchet location.
NOTE:
Ratchets are attached to the rafters at the lower
end of each diagonal rafter brace as shown.
13. After all ratchets are installed, move to inside the frame
and cut a slit through the main cover pocket at each
rafter position where ratchets are installed.
NOTE:
Do not cut through the main cover. Cut only the
conduit pocket!
