3. Repeat the steps for the remaining pre-drilled hole for
this door frame to drill the mounting bracket holes.
4. Continue by attaching the metal panels to the door
frame.
ATTACH THE PANELS TO THE DOOR FRAME
The metal panels for the door frames are attached using
Tek screws and neo-bonded washers. Cut and install the
lower panel first as instructed and then install the remain
upper panel and panel section.
1. Measure the width of the door frame and cut a 98"
panel to fit the frame.
2. With the panel trimmed to the corrected width, locate
the classic rib (without the anti-siphon groove) and
mark a line that is halfway between the two ribs.
3. After marking the panel, cut the panel on the line
and set the small section aside. Do not damage this
section. It is used to cover the small opening at the top
of the door later in these instructions.
4. Place the panel on the door frame as shown with the
flat section at the bottom and the rib with the anti-
siphon groove at the top.
5. Secure the panel to the door frame along each side.
ATTENTION:
Do not install Tek screws through the flat
section of the panel along the bottom of the door frame
.
This is the area of the panel that the stay roller will run
along when the door is operated. See dashed line in
the left diagram under Step 3.
6. Take the remainder of the 98" panel from Step 1 and
cut it to the width needed to cover the upper area of the
door. See the diagram on the right under Step 3.
7. Overlap the lower panel rib (which has the anti-siphon
groove) with the classic rib of the upper panel and
secure the panel to the frame as shown.
