INSTALL METAL PANELS: MAIN FRAME (INSIDE)
Install the panels in this procedure in the same manner as
those in the previous procedure. Use the Panel Installation
Diagram to select the correct panels and to install them in
the proper locations.
The first row of metal panels for the inside of the main
frame is the same as the first row of panels for the roof
of the outrigger frame. Attach the different panel lengths
(if applicable) to the frame using Tek screws and in the
same pattern as those of the outrigger frame. Consult the
previous installation diagrams and the Panel Installation
Diagrams for additional information if needed.
Install the lower row of panels first with the anti-siphon
grooved rib positioned at the top and work toward the top of
the frame to the point where the diagonal rafter braces are
attached to the rafters.
The lower edge of the second row of panels will overlap the
upper edge of the first row when installed correctly.
Each panel for the final row can be trimmed to the proper
width (if needed), or the panels can be notched to fit around
each diagonal brace attached to the rafters.
The dashed line
identifies the top
edge of the upper
row of inside metal
panels.
If the diagonal braces were
installed as instructed, the top
edge of the top row of inside
metal panels will stop at (or
near) the lower edge of the
rafter brace.
Dashed lines show the upper
edge of the top row of inside
panels. Outrigger panels are
not shown.
Panels can be trimmed to fit
or they can be notched to fit
around each brace.
Diagonal
Rafter Brace
After attaching all metal panels to the inside of the main
frame, continue with the sliding door assembly.
Space below is reserved for customer notes.
WARNING:
If the top edge of the final panel is cut to
stop below the bottom of the diagonal rafter braces, the
panel edge will be sharp.
Materials purchased locally can be used to cover or
finish this edge to prevent injury. Consult a qualified
professional for suggestions.
Customer is responsible for supplying materials to
finish the edge.
