INSTALL DOOR FRAME EXTENSION
Each sliding door requires the installation of a door frame
extension (door stop), which is attached to the back of the
door frame along the edge where the door meets the end
rafter in its closed position. Five (5) screws (SRF15801) are
used to secure the extension tube to the door frame.
This extension prevents the door from sliding past its
closed and open positions. It also decreases the gap
between the door and the end rafter leg when the door is
closed. (Door above is shown in the open position.)
Required parts:
• 1.5" x 1.5" (104779) square tube
• SRF15801 #14 x 2-1/2" self-tapping screws
Complete these steps to install the door frame extension.
1. Locate the 1.5" x 1.5" (104779) square tube and cut its
length to 71".
2. Measure 1-1/2" in
from each end on the same side of
the tube
and mark the locations.
3. Center punch each mark and drill a 1/4" hole through
the tube at each end.
4. Using the end holes as guides, evenly mark the
remaining three (3) locations for the 1/4" holes and drill
the holes as previously described.
5. Take the pre-drilled extension tube and clamp it to the
inside of the door frame
flush to the bottom and edge of
the door frame.
NOTE:
The extension tube will be approximately 1"
lower than the top of the door frame. See the diagram
to the left.
6. Using two 2-1/2" self-tapping screws, secure the
extension tube to the door frame and test the operation
of the sliding door.
7. Adjust the height of the extension tube (if needed) and
install the remaining self-tapping screws.
8. Test the operation of the door and continue by installing
the eyebolt door latch.

INSTALL EYEBOLT LATCH SYSTEM FOR DOOR
Each sliding door includes an eyebolt latch system for
added security.
Required parts:
• 3/8" eyebolts, nuts and washers
• Grab handle and Tek screws
Complete these steps to install the eyebolt latch system:
1. Determine the desired height of the eyebolt latch for
the door frame of the sliding door, mark the location on
the door frame, and center punch the mark.
NOTE:
Locating the eyebolt latch near the middle
of the door frame will provide the best security and
easiest access when operating the door.
2. Use a drill and 7/16" drill bit to drill a hole through the
door frame to mount the eyebolt.
Drill the end holes 1-1/2" in from each
end then evenly space the remaining 3
holes between the two end holes.
