SETUP
Unpacking and checking the unit
Check the integrity of the packaging to exclude damage that may have occurred during transport.
Check the completeness of the equipment and the corresponding accessories. Any non-
conformities must be reported immediately and recorded on the transport documents.

Removing the safety device
Before using the unit for the fi rst time, remove the safety screw (item 1) which is screwed onto the
tank load cell for protection (see fi gure 1).
Checking the oil level of the vacuum pump
Check the hydraulic oil level in the vacuum pump and, if necessary, fi ll up to the level (about half
of the sight glass).
Medium level
Connecting the hoses and leak test
Connect the charge hoses to the unit (high pressure = RED, low pressure = BLUE). Ensure that the
quick couplings are in the «
CLOSED
» position (if necessary, manually turn clockwise to close).
Perform a one or two minute suction cycle followed by a vacuum leak test. This is to prevent air
residue from being left in the hoses and to check for leaks. (See appropriate instructions). The
vacuum test and the subsequent leak test should be repeated whenever the charging hoses may
have become contaminated with air.
Check that the setting for the hose length is correct (select
«OPTIONS AND SETTINGS»
then
«HOSE LENGTH»
and change if necessary, using the
«UP»
and
«DOWN»
buttons
(default 3 metres).
If the hose length is set to «0» (zero), at the end of the work cycle, the unit will not calculate the
gas remaining in the hoses at the end of the cycle.
If the hose length is set to «0» (zero), at the end of the work cycle, the unit will not calculate the
gas remaining in the hoses at the end of the work cycle and will, instead, cause the user to draw
the residual gas into the vehicle C/A system.
(In the case of a pressure test that is not preceded by a standard work cycle, the unit will recover
the residual gas in the vehicle by default, regardless of the above setting).
