Troubleshooting guide
Problem
Cause
Solutions
Steam is escaping
from under the lid.
•
The lid is not shut properly.
•
Ensure that the lid is
properly closed.
Oil is spilling over.
•
The oil level exceeds
the max. level.
•
The basket contains too
much food.
•
Reduce the amount of
oil. Refer to the
Frying
guide.
Fried food is
not crispy on
the outside.
•
The food in the basket is not
dry enough.
•
The oil temperature is too low.
•
The basket contains too
much food.
•
Wipe any ice off
the food or let it drain
thoroughly before frying.
•
Increase the temperature

Frying guide).

The reset feature
If for some reason the fryer stops heating, the reason may be that the safety cut-off
switch has tripped.
To reset the switch:
1. Unplug the mains lead from the wall
socket.
2. Let fryer and the oil cool down.
3. Lift up the control panel and reset
the safety cut-off switch by pressing it in
using a pointed object.
4. Refit the parts in the reverse order.
