U sing the
thum b
and
forefinger of each hand, grasp the tw o ejector levers
and
exert a
slight
pressure
to the left, deflecting the m odule approxim ately 0.040 inches (1 m m ) creating a sm all gap betw een
the m odule’s EM I gasket and the m odule or cover plate adjacent to it. (See
Figure 3-5
.)
Note
Do not exert too much pressure on the ejector levers because they will bend and get
damaged.

W hile gently pressing dow n on the ejector levers, sim ultaneously close both levers to fully seat the
m odule in the backplane connector. The ejector levers are fully closed w hen they are flush w ith the
m odule faceplate. (See
Figure 3-6
.)
