Removing and Replacing Field-Replaceable Units
Replacing the Performance Routing Engine Module
To install or to remove and replace a PRE module:
Step 1
Attach an antistatic wrist strap to your wrist and to the ESD socket on the chassis,
or to a bare metal surface on the chassis or frame (
Figure 3-14
).

Step 2
If you are:
•
Removing and replacing a PRE, continue with the next step.
•
Installing a redundant PRE, go to
Step 8
.
Step 3
Disconnect any interface cables from the PRE if necessary.
