15.
Fully-charged battery
15.1.
The battery is fully charged when the specific green light is displayed on the
charger.
NOTE:
The charging can take 6-8 hours, depending on the residual charge level in
the battery.
15.2.
Disconnect the battery charger plug from the 220V power socket.
15.3.
Remove the second plug of the battery charger from the battery connector.
15.4.
If removed from its housing, reposition the battery in the appropriate bicycle
housing and ensure it is well placed on the bottom.
16.
Removing and repositioning the battery
16.1.
Insert the key into the appropriate lock on the
side of the bicycle.
16.2.
Push the key inward and turn it 180°, this will
release the battery from its housing.
16.3.
After recharging the battery, reposition it on the
bicycle reversing the entire operation.
17.
Observations
17.1.
This battery model cannot be used with other models. Avoid using the same battery
for different bicycles.
17.2.
Even if compatible, never use other non-original batteries.
17.3.
For safety reasons, the bicycle electrical system is equipped with a special fuse that
protects all electronic instrumentation from any power surges.
ATTENTION:
Do not open the battery to replace the fuse. This would entail cancellation of
the warranty terms. Contact you dealer.
18.
Disposing of the exhausted battery
A battery pack containing lithium batteries, at end-of-life should be disposed of in
accordance with current regulations and cannot be disposed of as simple waste.
The European Directive for this type of waste is Directive 2013/56/EU which states
that the States adhering to this Convention must undertake to adopt
“appropriate measures” in order that exhausted accumulators are
collected separately for their possible recovery or disposal.
In any case, for more up-to-date information, please contact your
local municipal office responsible for this.
